John Greenwood Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, John Greenwood on October 5, 2019. He slipped away peacefully with his family by his side.
John was born in Kent, England on June 12, 1928. In John’s youth he had a love for cycling which led to many races and competition which he excelled at. John met his wife of 62 years in England and then emigrated to Canada. This is where they raised their family of three daughters.
John always enjoyed his wood working and when there was nothing left to make for his family, he shared his creations with the community. He was also a long-time member of the local Lion’s club and created great friendships within this circle of men.
John was a loving husband, wonderful father and caring grandfather. We will miss your smiling face, but we know mum is waiting for you with a cup of tea and bran muffin.
Survived by his daughters, Lisa, Joanne and Karen. Grandchildren Jaime, Jared, Tyler, Amy and Haley.
