Alexis George Doulis
1975-2026
Alexis George Doulis passed away at age 51 after a brief battle with a very aggressive form of melanoma on May 11, 2026 in Calgary, Alberta.
Alexis was a big personality who enjoyed his family, friends, and travel. He was a man of great laughter and generosity who knew how to embrace joy. He had unlimited time for the people he cared about and was a doting uncle. Alexis was a long time employee of Telus where he was fortunate to work in a field that aligned with his passion for technology, being gifted with computers from a young age. He had black belt in taekwondo and proudly competed in international competitions. Alexis will be remembered for his brilliant eccentric sense of humour, adventure, and joie de vivre. We will all miss the elevating effect his presence added to any social gathering.
Alexis is survived by his father, George and his wife Diane and her children Amy and Emily; his Mother, Judith; his sister Cassandra and her husband Gil; and his nephew Gabriel and niece Magdalena, to whom Alexis was a cherished role model and mentor.
A service will be held for Alexis at the Telkwa Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2026 where he will be interred with his beloved grandfather, George Doulis (Sr.). The service will be followed by an open Celebration of Life at the Old Church Hall, 3704 1st Ave in Smithers, B.C. All who knew Alexis are welcome to attend the Service at 1:00 p.m. or stop by the Old Church Hall anytime between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on August 2, 2026.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alexis' name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
