ALVIN CLIFF
July 25, 1934 – March 7, 2024
Alvin Burton Cliff (Al), aged 89 years, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024 at Wrinch Memorial Hospital in Hazelton, BC. He was born in Fort William, Ontario on July 25, 1934 and moved to British Columbia in the 1950s. He worked as a finishing carpenter and job superintendent on sites in Vancouver and across the Prairie Provinces. He retired to Masset on Haida Gwaii and then moved to New Hazelton.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Bessie Cliff of Thunder Bay, brother Robert and sister-in-law, Anne Cliff of Chilliwack and sister-in-law, Margaret Fraser of Camrose, AB.
He is survived by a brother, Bruce Cliff of Camrose, AB and sister, Susan Cliff (Bob Arnold) of Calgary, AB, niece, Marlene LeNeal (Mark) of South Surrey and nephews Douglas Cliff of Salmon Arm and John Fraser-Cliff of Calgary as well as many friends around British Columbia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.
As per Alvin’s request. There will be no scheduled Celebration of Life.
