Clarence Stanley Stad was born March 23, 1961 in the Bulkley Valley District Hospital in Smithers, BC. He started his young life in a logging camp until it was time to go to school. The family moved into Smithers where Clarence stayed until work called him to Fort St. John where he was joined by his older brother, Theo.
Clarence learned to operate heavy equipment, gravel trucks and low-beds. He later moved to Sanguido, AB where he continued to fine tune his driving skills hauling equipment and logs for the next 15 years. He moved back to his hometown in 2017 to room with his brother, continuing his career with Steti Transport Ltd. Besides taking great pride in his work, he enjoyed quading with friends and maintaining his yard. He was taken from us suddenly while at work doing what he loved, on Monday June 2, 2025.
He will be greatly missed by his older brother, Theo, his younger sister, Tina and her husband Jeff. He was a special uncle to Jessica, Kalen and his wife Britanie, Rebekah, Meghan, Kristen, Travis and great nephew Lochlan. Special thanks to all the friends, family and co-workers who supported and shared their memories with us.
May you rest in peace.
