                                                             Letter of Love for Deb

It is with the deepest of sadness that I have to announce the passing of the Love of my life and dearest best friend as well as the loving Mother to our sons Steve and Thomas and adoring Grandmother to Trinity.

Deborah Lynn Oxtoby passed away in the morning hours of September 3, 2023.  In the moment of her last breath she was at home with her family by her side slipping away peacefully as it should be for such a beautiful spirit.

As with the inevitable changing of the season when the sunshine starts to feel filtered and distant, the nights longer and colder, this new season of my life without my Love by my side is going to be filled with challenges at times that feel insurmountable.  The day of her passing a chill was felt in our home a chill I was unable to warm with the thermostat.  I then became aware that it wasn’t that a chill had entered, it was that a warmth had left.

Anyone that had the privilege of knowing this beautiful soul could attest to her deep sincerity, honesty, kindness as well as a humor and wit that could bring a smile to anyone.  She will be dearly missed.

Like the seasons this period of my life shall pass, when the sorrow softens and the rain of tears subside, I will be able to celebrate fully the sincere privilege and blessing to married to such a beautiful soul.

Debbie was an avid poem writer, putting to paper hundreds of her insights, opinions and thoughts, reading them does show the depth and beauty of this Woman.   Farewell my Love, Farewell for Now.

No need for institutions,

To take care of your soul,

No sinner without religion,

Spirituality holds it role.

All acts of faith shall rise,

Living by the golden rule,

Contributing towards life,

Forgiving acts of fools.

Shed a little light,

On those in the dark,

You may change a life,

Or at very least spark.
