Dietmar Georg Ordowski
Born in Hamburg, Germany on July 1st, 1943 passed away peacefully at Wrinch Memorial Hospital on Tuesday December 9th, 2025 with his daughter Denise by his side. Dietmar is predeceased by his mom and dad Irma (Mueller) and Georg Ordowski, his wife Sally Sarah (Papin) and his son Barton.
He is survived by; his sister Christa (Dieter) his brother John and many cherished nieces and nephews along with their families. His daughters Denise and Sonja, his son Ruarke and his beloved grandchildren Tucker, Gracie-Jane, Kazuki and Aya - he so loved being their Opa. He was ‘Opa’ to many others in Hazelton; Emma, Claire, Lily along with Avery in Prince George.
Dietmar loved the Hazeltons’ area since arriving with Sally in 1994. They were welcomed into the community of Hagwilget, whom affectionately called the two ‘Mr. and Mrs. O’. Mr. O taught ABE at the small hall and both were a part of the community for many years.
Dietmar went on to teach at NWCC (CMC) until retiring due to his health in 2013. He was a brilliant, caring teacher of Mathematics, Science and Biology - helping many attain their GED and upgrading to further their careers. Teaching was his life’s passion.
Dietmar will be dearly missed by members of his his extended families of the Marshall, Hobenshield, Ulrich and Ordowskis'. Along with his dear friends, fellow elders and community members.
