Esther Marie Love

Esther Marie Love passed on March 22, 2020 at the Bulkley Lodge, Smithers.

Born to Anna Haggblad and John Love on Feb 26,1927, she was one of their seven children, living on a farm in the Kispiox Valley.

She is survived by her twin sister Ruth Mesich and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, sister Francis (Jack Lee), sister Dorothy (Marty Allen), brother Wilfred (Lillian Alcorn), brother Walter (Marcella Edmunds) and sister Thelma.

Later in her life she moved to Smithers to live with Ruth.

Music was her love. She played the piano and the accordion. One never knew when she would burst into song and enjoyed especially if others chimed in. A favorite was "From this Valley you are leaving". We ARE going to 'miss your bright eyes and sweet smile'. Always so pleased to receive visitors, her "HI!" could make your day. Her infectious laughter had all that heard it, smiling and laughing too.

Another of her passions was cats. Esther nearly always had a cat in her arms thru the most part of her life. Cat cushions, blankets, pictures, etc. adorned her rooms.

Bye sweet lady, we love and miss you so much.

Ruth and Esther have resided at the Bulkley Lodge for the past five years. Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the workers for the kindness and compassion they have shown the two ladies while in their care.
