Gerald Jackson (Gerry) passed away peacefully in the Bulkley Lodge in Smithers on November 20,2017 with his family by his side. Gerry was born in Telegraph Creek to Richard Jackson and Margaret Reid on April 23, 1934. At the age of 16, he left his home in Telegraph Creek. He worked at many occupations over his lifetime; logging, commercial fishing, construction such as carpentry and paving, as well as various other jobs.
Gerry will be sadly missed by is son Robert Baptiste; siblings Gladys V. (Bobby) Quock, Nellie Jackson (Doug Carlick), Pat (Theresa) Etzerza, Nancy (Bill) McGhee, Richard 'Rocky' Jackson (Lil Bear), many nieces and nephews and friends.
A Visitation will take place in the R.A. Schrader Funeral Home Chapel, in Smithers, on Tuesday, November 21st at 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held in the TC Rec Centre in Telegraph Creek on Saturday, November 25th at 2:00 pm with the Feast to follow. Gerry will be laid to rest in the Telegraph Creek Cemetery.
