Inge Hannelore (Siebler) Landdorf

INGE HANNELORE (SIEBLER) LANDDORF

March 12, 1932 - December 30, 2021

We are so lucky to have had this lady in our lives for her almost 90 years.  She showed her love to her family in so many ways.  She greatly impacted the lives of her 7 grandchildren.  Absolutely adored her 11 great grandchildren ... they were her treasures. 

Mom was the epitome of a homemaker.  We grew up fed on traditional german home cooking with a dessert after every meal!  Every year we were treated to an amazing home made birthday cake of our choice.  The best Christmas baking, we will not forget her special linzer tortes, scheckennudeln, amerikaner and lebkuchen.

An immaculate knitter, she kept us in socks, mittens, sweaters and even beautiful outdoor sweater coats.  Each of the grandchildren were knit a special outfit to wear home from the hospital.  There are now many crocheted blankets, doilies and even knit doll clothes in all our homes.

She helped our Dad build the family home in Telkwa and over the years we remember the fantastic garden they grew together which brought on fabulous meals.  All the grandchildren spent so much time enjoying themselves in the big yard with Grama watching over them.

Our Mom's love for children began when she helped raise her younger siblings in Germany.  Once we were older she then gave daycare to many children even while caring for a grandchild or two.  They were all treated as family.  It was effortless for her.

One of Mom's many enjoyments was watching her extended family at the dinner table enjoying one of her many signature meals.  Some of us are still trying to get those recipes perfected to taste just like hers.  She was so delighted with her grandchildren and great grandchildren her joy and happiness was wonderful to see.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Horst of 67 1/2 years and her daughters Monica and Jean, who have all lost a piece of their heart.
