Joan Margaret Franson
Joan was born in Glasgow, Scotland on April 9,1945. She came to Canada in 1947 by ship with her aunt Charlotte MacInnes. Joan passed away on Dec 3, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her son Kevin (Laura) Franson, daughter Leanne Ashcroft, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers (spouses),and 2 sister in laws (spouses). Joan was predeceased by her loving husband of 51.5 years Errol, son in law Tim, her parents, and parents in law.
Joan was the local Greyhound agent for many years until her retirement in 2004. Joan was a long time member of the Order of the Royal Purple where she held numerous positions including Honoured Royal Lady.
No service by request. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations to the local Order of the Royal Purple would be appreciated.
