Johanna Meeuwissen Obituary
With great sadness we announce that Johanna (Jo) Meeuwissen has left us to walk in her garden with God. After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease, Jo passed away on May 4th, 2020 at the Bulkley Lodge.She is survived by her beloved husband Adrian, predeceased by son Bill (Leah), survived by her daughters; Irene Meeuwissen, Adri MacKay (Cameron), Antonette Fisher (Kent) and Joany Meeuwissen.In her life Jo enjoyed crafting, gardening, working with her church and being Oma to her grandchildren; Cory, Eric, Ryan, Josh, Marcus, Catherine and Benjamin. Great grandchild Meghan managed to make it into the world early enough to brighten Jo’s life, even during the deepest part of her illness.Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses, care workers, and all other staff at the Bulkley Lodge in Smithers. Your consistent care, attention and warmth towards Jo was greatly appreciated.
A public service is not possible at this time so a future announcement will be made as to a date celebrating her wonderful life.
