John was born on March 2nd, 1938 in Saskatoon, Sask. He passed away peacefully at the Smithers Regional Hospital with family by his side on June 30th, 2020.
John came to the Bulkley Valley as a young man seeking new opportunities and adventure. He met Beverly A. Oulton and they married in Smithers and had four children, primarily raising them in the local area. John was a Jack of many trades, welder, mechanic, truck driver and heavy equipment operator. If you knew him, you would know that dust didn't settle on him. John and Bev lived a life of many adventures, sometimes venturing out of the province but always returning to the valley.
