John Hagen Obituary

John Roger Hagen (Jack) was born January 4th, 1942.

He was born in Port Angeles, WA to John and Myrtle Hagen, their only child.  When Jack was a young boy the family moved to Walla Walla, WA to the convention grounds to help.

This gave him many precious memories to his dying day.
Jack made is choice to serve God at the age of 12 at Walla Walla convention.  He remained faithful and thankful for that choice all his life.
Being an American, Jack was drafted in the US army for 2 years.  These 2 years made life long bonds with other service men who were also serving God…

Jim Klaty, Wesley Knapp, Ken Bergess, Raybon Miller and Bob Gustafson.  They were an encouragement to each other through life.
After the army Jack married Barbara Websdale
November 5, 1965 and lived in Smithers.

They bought land on Kitseguecla Lake Rd in 1967 and carved a farm out of the wilderness.  This is where they raised their 3 children as Jack logged and farmed.

In 1998, Jack and Barb sold the farm and moved into Smithers.
After Barb passed away in 2007, Jack married Ann Manary Mar 30, 2013.  Jack and Ann lived in Smithers and Kelowna.

In Kelowna, Jack suffered his first stroke in July of 2019, after which Jack moved back to Smithers, where he patiently endured declining health.
Jack loved the hymn “Fair are the prospects all ahead.”  Jack was looking forward to this day.
Jack was predeceased by his wife Barbara in 2007.  He is survived by Ann, his 3 children Lynnelle, Mark (Alinna), Shaun (Colene), and his grand children Sarah, John, Dale, Jenith and Bruce, and his many friends.
