Jonathan Carl MacDonald
March 25 1986 - February 27 2025
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Jonathan Carl MacDonald “John” of Houston, B.C. mourn his passing on February 27th 2025 at the age of 38 years. He is greatly missed by his Father Philip (Wanda), Mother Nicola Papps (George), sister Amanda Pace (Lorne) and brother Matthew (Jessica). John leaves behind a family that he loved dearly; children Kayden West, Kenzie Wilson, Keilani Wilson, Kelsey Wilson, Katana Wilson, Gavin MacDonald, Keliah Wilson and Kendall Wilson. He was a step father to Kinora Buie, whom he loved as his own. He is survived by his former partner Kindra Wilson. John was born in Digby Nova Scotia and spent his formative years there before moving to Telkwa British Columbia. He enjoyed hard work, the harder the better and took great pride in a job well done. His work in the construction trades took him throughout Northern British Columbia, Alberta and into Saskatchewan. He enjoyed travelling and discovering new places. John was happiest when he was outdoors, whether it was mushroom picking or cutting firewood he could be found exploring many back roads and hiking trails. Most often you could find him out on the land on a snowmobile or quad, and exploring lakes by boat and anything else he could find that would float. John was a kind, caring soul that would give you the food off of his plate or the shirt off of his back and ask for nothing in return. Everyone that took the time to get to know him loved him as a friend and a brother.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honour at 2 o’clock on March 25th, 2025 at the Round Lake Community Hall in Quick B.C.
