It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kelly Shane Eden on January 29th, 2023, at the age of 74. Kelly passed away peacefully in his home after his health deteriorated rapidly and had his wife Terri by his side during this time.
Kelly was born in Saskatchewan and grew up in Summerland, BC. He began working in the mining industry during the late 1960's in Merritt, BC before moving to Port Hardy in 1980 where he raised his family. He retired from mining in Houston, BC.
Kelly is survived by his wife of 54 years Terri, children Tricia (John), Barbara (Sam) and Brian, granddaughters Christina (David), and Victoria (Corbin) and his great grandchildren Brayden, Kelcie, and Konner.
Kelly is predeceased by his parents Pete and Eileen Eden and is survived by his 7 siblings Penny, Linda, Allan (Sue), Dee (Ingrid), Susan, Sandra (Robert), and Bonnie (Todd) and many nieces and nephews.
Kelly was a humble man who worked hard for his family he loved so dearly. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Smither's hospital, Dr. Morkel and the care aides that took care of Kelly in the days leading up to his passing.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Williams Lake at a later date.
