Linnea 'Lynn' (Johnson) Lychak

Lynn was born in Smithers BC to parents John and Julyia Johnson. 

She was the oldest of 8 children.  In those days life wasn’t always easy, but family made it happy.  Lynn lived at home with her family until she was about 11.  At this time she moved in with her Aunt and Uncle to help on their dairy farm.  She enjoyed going to dances with her cousins, Ed and Johnny.  In the late 1940’s she met Paul.  June 1, 1949 they were married in Smithers.  After getting married they moved away from the Bulkley Valley.  Both their children were born away from the Valley.  Shortly after their second son was born they returned to the Valley.  They purchased some raw land and created their farm, their home.  This farm is where they raised many children, their sons, grandchildren, and great granddaughters. Lynn and Paul stayed on the farm until Paul’s passing in 2015.  Lynn spent the last three years in the “comfortable little house” that her son built for them. 

Lynn is survived by her sons Donald (Jan), and Edward (Ronalee); grandchildren Becky, Wesley, Harley (Honey), Robert (Natasha), Tanya (Bruce), Elizabeth (Richie); great grandchildren, Ashley (Kenton), Andrea, Abby, Ana, Tamika, Emma-Lynn, Dallas, Brady, Brandon, Kaden, Evan, Adam, and great great-grandson Wyatt.

Lynn is pre-deceased by her husband Paul, daughter-in-law Deleen, grandson John, and siblings Esther, Ruby, Ivor, Art and Florence.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday November 9th 2018 at the Paul Lychak Evelyn Community Hall at 1:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made at the Bulkley Valley Credit Union in Lynn’s name to the Paul Lychak Evelyn Community Hall or the Smithers Diabetes Support Group.
