Marilyn Gale Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Marilyn Phyllis Gale (Sjostrom) age 79. Marilyn was born November 17, 1940 in Hoadley, Alberta, and passed at the Smithers General Hospital at 8:20 a.m. on May 19, 2020.
Marilyn was a feisty little woman who enjoyed her children and grandchildren, and was especially endeared to her new great granddaughter who just arrived on January 29, 2020. She lived her life in various areas of B.C. bravely enduring life's challenges until she finally settled in Smithers, B.C. She was small but mighty and never let her size get in the
way of anything. She had no problem hunting moose in Upper Fraser, B.C., sailing a big sail boat through the Straights of Juan de Fuca or driving her brothers stock car in a Powder Puff Derby even though she had to grab a pillow or two to be able to see over the steering wheel.
Marilyn is predeceased by her loving husband, Lorne Gale and her cherished brother, Harold Sjostrom. She is survived by two daughters, Laurel Lindstrom and Anita Klemp (spouse Terry); by Lorne's three children, Vicki, Dwayne Gale and Debbie; and by one great granddaughter Kinsley. Marilyn is also survived by her sister Laurel White and sister-in-law Sandra Sjostrom as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke fund will be gratefully received in her name.
