MARK JEFFERY BORUCK
January 12, 1956 – August 11, 2026
It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the sudden passing of Mark.
He will be deeply missed by his partner Gwen Hovland, stepdaughter Monique, stepson Leland (Kristi), sisters Christine (John), Carol (Jim), brothers Craig (Ginette), Grant (Debbie), Wade (Rashmi) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and two grandchildren. Predeceased by his Dad, Alex and Mom, Yvette, stepdaughter Sherelle, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Mark was a kind, devoted, and thoughtful soul. When he saw a small child he would always light up, smile and say something to them. He loved spending many hours listening to all types of music, reading about world issues and going for long walks. Of course, he loved watching his favorite hockey team the “Detroit Red Wings”.
Mark was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan however spent most of his childhood and young adult years living in Revelstoke, BC where he enjoyed hiking, biking, fishing in the creeks and playing hockey and baseball.
Mark participated in the Centennial ‘71 Celebrations in British Columbia (he was very proud). The event was the “Canadian Championship” for Senior Little League. His Revelstoke team came in 2nd in BC and 2nd in Canada.
In his late teens he worked on the CP Railway, then onto operating equipment in the logging industry, in Revelstoke. Moving to Williams Lake he continued logging and then changed careers by working in the mining industry. Mark worked operating equipment at Gibralter, Kemess and then Huckleberry Mines until Huckleberry shut down and he retired.
Mark enjoyed the outdoors, taking pictures of all the beauty around the areas that we lived and travelled as well as spending time at our cabin on the lake, swimming and seeing all the wildlife. Another picture. Yes!
“Celebration of Life” will be announced at a later date.
