It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Ruben James Hiltz, who passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2026, at the age of 90.
Ruben was born November 21, 1935, in Halifax NS. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and the love and devotion he gave to his family throughout his lifetime.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Ola Hiltz; his 5 children, James (Butch), Tim, Lola, Ruth, and Jeffery; along with their partners and his is cherished grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He also leaves many extended family and friends who will all miss him dearly.
Reuben’s love and wisdom will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he is gone from our sight, he will never be forgotten.
Forever loved, forever remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2027.
