On Saturday, August 8th, 2020,
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you
And He whispered, “Come to Me”.
With tearful eyes we watched you,
We watched you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard-working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He chose to take the best.
Its lonesome here without you,
We miss you more each day.
Cathy McKenzie and family would like to acknowledge the doctors, nurses, and health care workers who provided Shelly with such excellent care.
