Vera Konst (Pflug)
January 7, 1951 - November 16, 2025
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Vera Konst. Vera was born in Germany and immigrated at a young age with her parents Helmut and Ruth Pflug to Kitimat B.C where she was raised. She married Jos Konst in 1970 and they spent most of their 47 years of marriage in Smithers, B.C., with the exception of 10 years in Terrace from 1977 - 1987. Together they had 2 children, opened 3 ski shops (Winterland Ski and Sport World), built houses and made many friends. Vera especially enjoyed playing Yahtzee, tennis and racquetball in her younger years then later moved on to Golf, RV Traveling, and time with her yellow Labrador Retrievers in Retirement.
Vera is survived by her daughter Tracy Fehr, son in law Dan Fehr and grandsons Justin and Travis Fehr of Penticton, BC, Her son Jason Konst of Smithers, BC, daughter in law Christine Tanner and Grandchildren Renae, Ryan, Isaac, Aianna, and Aaron of Alberta, as well as her special companion Barrie Carter and many nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a celebration of Vera's life mid April in Smithers.
