Veronica Cole

Veronica passed peacefully away in the Bulkley Lodge in Smithers, BC on January 7, 2020 at the age of 89 with her family by her side. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Francis William; daughter Denise Marie, parents Augustine Thomas and Mary Ann, brothers Valentine, Stan and Howard; sisters Anastasia, Gabriel and Kathleen; predeceased Cole Family of Conception Hr. (Most recently deceased Norman Cole) and Merrigan Family of Colliers.

Veronica is survived by, and leaves to mourn, her eight loving children Gordon (Gail), Dominic (Sheila), Douglas, Eugene (Renita), Leona (Dale), Linda, Diane (Brian) and Francis Jr. Former daughter-in-law and close family friend Annette. Brother-in-law Bill (Marg), sisters-in-law Kathleen and Wendy.

Grandchildren; Sheri (Matt), Kristi (Leland), Jamie, Dana (Ron), Darren (Ange), Jessica, River, Jeremy (Taylor), Ryan (Jaclyn), Crystal, Cody, Natasha, Kyla (Jake), Clayton (Nicole), Shannon (Uzoma), Alain, Jeff (Crystal) and Tori (Adam).

Great-Grandchildren; Joey, Tommy, Sarah, Theo, Jacob, Jenna, Ryleigh, Tristan, Thomas, Greyson, Talya, Nathyn, Felyx, Kalen, Dominic, Tegan, Phoenix, Emmanuel, Bianca, Aryionna, Chloe, Amelia and special little friend, Olivia (Colleen and Kayla).  Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Veronica (Ronnie) was born in Lawn, NL on June 10, 1930.

She was a proud and loving mother and wife. She was the heart and soul of her family and they were everything to her. Veronica lived in Colliers, NL most of her life, as well as Toronto and Smithers. She was loved and respected by all who met her. Her warm, friendly, loving heart drew people to her instantly. She had a giggle that you didn’t forget once you had heard it. She had a mischievous sense of humor and used it often to entertain her family and friends (as well as staff at the Bulkley Lodge we are told). She will be sadly missed and forever remembered as the angel she was and now always will be.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church on First Avenue, Smithers.

At the request of Veronica and her family, flowers are gratefully declined but donations are appreciated to a medical fund for Olivia at TD Bank in Manuels, NL or by etransfer to colleenkgreen@hotmail.com.
