Al Passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Leslie of 61 years and children Alana Goncalves, Shelley (Mark) Fichtner, Sean (Terilynn) Gillies, Loni Gillies, son in law Todd Eldridge. He was pre-deceased by his daughter Kyla (Todd) Eldridge. Al had 13 grandchildren and 14 great grand children. Born in Barkerville/Wells B.C. Al was raised in logging camps in the Lumby, Vernon area where he met his wife Leslie and started their family. They moved north to Topley in 1972 and remained in the Houston area for the last 52 years. Al loved driving truck and hauled logs in the Bulkley Valley for most of those years. Al was generous to all his children and those around him he could help out. He always had a dog by his side. His dry witty sense of humor will be missed by all. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by family and friends.
