William Terry McBride

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of William (Terry) McBride. He was born on May 24, 1945 in Calgary Alberta. He passed away peacefully on the evening of October 15, 2020 in Smithers.

Terry is survived by his wife and best friend Maria (Rita) Meerdink McBride; his children Thereasa, Clint, Tyler, Gordie (Robyn), Lisa (Jason), Ryan (Nikki), Nicolas (Chrissy), Tynisha and Tearra; grandchildren  Terry, Jodi (deceased), Leanne, Colin, Jasper, Julia, Shonelle, Tana, Christopher, Madisen, Jaymie, Roary, Shiloh, Nathan, Nicolas Jr, Kooper, and great grandson Orien.

Terry was a very compassionate husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family above all. He loved family gatherings and coffee with his friends at a local coffee shop. His passion was trucking from highway hauls to logging roads. He did it all. Terry was a man who was there for people and opened his home and dinner table to many. Terry will be deeply missed by his immediate family, sister Nora, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Terry is now safe in the arms of our Lord and Saviour.

Roll on Terry. Till we meet again.

A Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held on October 31st at 1:00 pm in the Telkwa Community Church (formerly Telkwa CRC, across from the Telkwa Store).  COVID 19 protocols will be in effect but the service will be live streamed through Zoom for the broader community to attend.  The link to the zoom is https://zoom.us/j/6498311950.
