Yvon Emil Fournier born March 11, 1927, passed away on March 3, 2019, in Smithers BC, at the age of 91 years. Yvon was born in Lachute Quebec, the third child of five. He moved to Smithers, BC in 1954, where he met a beautiful Witset women, Sophie, and had three beautiful daughters, Irene, MaryJane, and Mary Joan. After the passing of his first wife, Yvon married Regina.
While in Smithers Yvon worked many jobs such as logging, a comic book store owner, an auto wrecker, and at one time he ran the local dump. He also operated a store at the mushroom camp at Cranberry Junction and held various other jobs over the years. He loved the first Nation community.
Yvon was pre-deceased by his parents, a sister, and his wife Sophie. He leaves behind three siblings, his three daughters, step-son Jeffery, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
